The best obituary🩷
I don’t like religion, Jesus didn’t either- He actually threw tables. He actually said to give, to have compassion and mercy. He said focus on serving the orphaned and widowed. He said focus on loving God and others. He didn’t say look at all the other imperfect people, judge and blame. He said “judge not.” He isn’t looking for good people, He wants to be the sacrifice for everyone, because if we believe in Him then we believe in creation and God created everything. How could he not love all of us equally like we do our kids?!?
And it’s so so good to be able to look back and without a doubt say “But God….” at the beginning of each new chapter. “By the grace of God…..” is all of our stories really.
This obituary is just a recap, not the whole story, and it’s brutal if we read it about our 33 yr old friend. I have so many questions. It’s ok to question everything. Makes for spicy convos, which Jesus would love I am sure.
But I have to mention Good Friday on this page, because if you have any background with faith, or religion, my encouragement is to strip off what other “religious people” have done or do and just let it be about Gods love for you. That’s it.
If we don’t believe Jesus died, then our faith is pointless. But I do believe and I really can tell a massive difference in my spirit and life when I am focused on just loving God and others. When I don’t try to “do” but just “be”….. when I just have faith that in the end I can believe He has a promise for us.
It’s actually too mind blowing for me. I studied this in school. And it still just creates more questions, but I am not afraid of questioning and going back to basics. Jesus loves me, now what can I do with my life that loves like He showed me to do…. Honestly that easy.
I don’t have the answers, but I do have a peace that passes all understanding guarding my heart through Jesus and you know I love to talk💕
